In September 2025, PAA launched our new Mutual Aid Initiative (MAI), in an attempt to meet the increasing demand of Palestinians for direct aid, beyond the organisational fundraising we had been focusing on up until that time.
As of the end of November 2025, we have already raised almost £10,000 for Palestinian families with our initiative, which helps families to register their campaigns on major platforms like Lifeline 4 Gaza and Radio Watermelon & highlights their fundraisers on our front page for 2 weeks (with concentrated donations from our global members during that time). Families needing support can be directed to our ‘request help’ page here.
We have now also launched the ‘Saleh al-Jafaraawi Matching Project’, which is the third major component of MAI. You can read the announcement post here (with Arabic slides provided). The Saleh al-Jafaraawi Matching Project seeks to ‘match’ Palestinian families with bands around the world (whether they are PAA members or not) in order to support them with more continuous fundraising over a three-month period.
