We’re happy to announce our second Norwegian signatory, Not Today ( @nottoday.bergen ) !
One aspect of Not Today’s statement that resonated with us in particular is their underlining of the total lack of faith we have in the “Western so-called democracies.” As we witness even the few states that feign ‘support’ for Palestine like Spain & Italy–and then only under immense pressure & borderline revolt of their respective peoples–continue to make excuses for the genocidal Zionist regime, fail to show up for their own citizens who are kidnapped by it (as with the Sumud Flotilla participants), and continue even to trade with it even as they claim they have stopped, we come again and again to the same conclusion, one familiar to free-thinking anti-authoritarians since time immemorial: states will never save us.
Indeed, we have seen over the decades how the mockery of pseudo-statehood has even become *active collaboration* with the structure of genocide, occupation, and apartheid in Palestine in the form of the unelected Palestinian Authority. And even further, we have seen the complete lack of willingness on the part of the self-identified ‘West’ to do anything more than recognise a supposed Palestinian state that *could never exist* as long as the Zionist Entity remains a colonial occupying power of the very soil that would make up that state.
In any case–we are happy to see that PAA continues to grow, and that our message continues to resonate. Artists together are more powerful than they are on their own. If you are down, why not go all in? Join PAA today!!! (tinyurl.com/paa-pou-2025)

Slide 1: Image with a faded kuffiyeh pattern in the background overlaid with text & image blocks.
On top, it reads ‘Announcing!’ diagonally overlaid in white on a black strip, and below, two circular logos outlined in white on their own black strip.
The one on the left is a circular logo with the words NOT TODAY in cut-out newspaper style block letters.
The one on the right is the Punks Against Apartheid logo, which shows a fist with a spikey bracelet punching through the apartheid wall & the text ‘PUNKS AGAINST APARTHEID’ around the circle’s edge.
Slide 2: As a band we’re totally and openly anti-fascist and Zionism is fascism! Even if the horrible occupation of Palestine has been going on since 48 the brutality of the last 24 months have changed us all. The world’s unwillingness to stop the genocide have broken the last pieces of trust there might have been left in the power of the western so-called democracies to be a force for good in the world.
Slide 3: We as people must all stand up to change things and we are so happy to be a small part of that together with Punks against apartheid. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something!
Slide 4: An overhead photo of a person with a pony tail playing a large drum set.
Below, a long horizontal banner depicting a punk mosh pit, with large red squiggly letters depicting PUNKS AGAINST APARTHEID on top, and a punk giving the finger on the right saying ‘racism ain’t punk.’
