leather.head joins Punks Against Apartheid!

We are so excited to announce our newest signatory in the UK, @leather.head_ !

Leather.head is a 5 piece post-emo, amateur math, experimental slowcore/skramz collective based in the UK. In their words: “We channel our experiences of colonised legacies (India, Ireland), community organising, resistance, and day-to-day existence in the heart of empire into bleak, writhing, and aggressive sounds that aim to express the feeling of a crumbling world, whilst offering glimmers of hope and action.”

For our part, we will repeat what we said when we first saw them play: it’s like Do Make Say Think & John Zorn had sex while watching The Battle of Algiers, and the baby they produced is leather.head.

In any case, leather.head & PAA fell in love at first sight, and soon after we got to know each other, we started planning shows together in London like last year’s EMOS FOR PALESTINE, where we managed to raise thousands of ££ for our supported families & organisations. We can’t wait to see how much more we can do together in 2026 to support Palestinian liberation and indeed all of our liberation, as they say in their signatory statement.

We stand in unconditional solidarity with Palestine and against the Zionist Entity. It is vital to use whatever platform possible to struggle towards Palestinian liberation and Punks Against Apartheid are part of the wider tapestry of resistance. The artist, the punks, play a vital role in cultivating a culture of anti-imperialist struggle and mutual aid.
All art is ultimately propaganda, it is therefore the responsibility of the artist to do what they can, and this is one way in which bands can act in solidarity. Palestine is the litmus test, it is the sharp end of where the contradictions and violence of the global system exist – and it is a testing ground for methods of control and oppression which will (and already are) being exported across the world.
We are witnessing genocide, settler-colonialism, occupation, and apartheid. The worst horrors (un)imaginable are being inflicted on a colonised and brutalised population, a population who are teaching the rest of the world (especially those in imperial centres) what resistance looks like. They teach us sumud. They teach us life. We must respond in kind. We must learn these lessons and commit to striking empire, capital, and domination in whatever ways we can.
May we see a free Palestine in our lifetimes, from the river to the sea.
